Skymetrix partners with 123Carbon platform to provide full end-to-end SAF management for airlines

Braunschweig, Germany: Skymetrix, a global provider of aviation fuel and cost management software, and 123Carbon, an independent platform for carbon insetting within multi-modal transportation, have announced a partnership to simplify and enhance the management of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) for airlines. This announcement comes as Skymetrix attends the International Air Transport Association's Aviation Energy Forum in Mexico City: the premier industry meeting for the world's aviation fuel community.

This collaboration will connect Skymetrix’s digital fuel management platform to 123Carbon’s carbon insetting platform, enabling the full end-to-end management of SAF: from the producer to the sustainability report generated by the airline customers.

The joint solution enables airlines to receive high-integrity transparent Environmental Attribute Certificates (EACs) or Proof of Sustainability Documents (PoS), which are available in the integrated 123Carbon registry when they are surrendered by suppliers. The partnership allows Skymetrix customers to manage all physical fuel procurement, both SAF and regular kerosene, as well as allocating authorised and transparent EACs to customers that are looking to reduce their air transport-related scope 3 emissions. All of this  is delivered via a customizable technology platform.

Today, over a third of global aviation fuel is managed through Skymetrix’s platform, which is used by 135 airlines to optimize, automate and track their fuel operations, from production through to uplift. By connecting the 123Carbon registry to Skymetrix’s system, airlines can now issue verified EACs based on their operational data and allocate the certificates to their customers. These EACs are automatically uploaded to the 123Carbon Registry for safekeeping and for their customers to access.
